Lemon Squeezy
Lemon Squeezy, at lemonsqueezy.com, is a storefront and checkout for selling digital products, subscriptions and software licenses, and it acts as the merchant of record for what it sells. Its pricing page says “Lemon Squeezy is your merchant of record,” taking on tax collection and calculation across jurisdictions and handling VAT and sales-tax filing.1 Stripe announced on July 26, 2024 that it had acquired the company, which the post says went “from idea to acquisition in under three years” and had been processing payments on Stripe since it began; the page footer now reads “Sold through Link, LLC f/k/a Lemon Squeezy LLC.”21
The price is one line: 5% + 50¢ per transaction, with no monthly charge for the ecommerce features and a note that volume pricing is available by contacting sales.1 The page also says payments outside the US may carry small additional fees and that some payments may be subject to additional fees, without amounts.1 Payouts go by bank wire or PayPal and are processed twice a month.1 Subscriptions can be billed weekly, monthly or yearly, and one-time and recurring charges can sit in the same product.1 For a one-person company, the time saved is the tax work: the seller doesn’t register, collect or file in each place a buyer lives, because Lemon Squeezy is the seller of record.1 In a post dated January 28, 2026, the company wrote that it is building Stripe Managed Payments and that its goal is “to provide Lemon Squeezy users an easy way to migrate to Stripe Managed Payments,” and the page shows a banner about a “2026 Update: Lemon Squeezy + Stripe Managed Payments,” with no date or fee change stated.31
